Weekly announcements, October 27

TODAY IS CELEBRATION SUNDAY Please join us following the service for brunch. There are a few extra pledge/commitment cards on the table in the narthex, if you should need one.

OFFERING ENVELOPES for 2014 are available in the narthex for all members (pledging and non-pledging) and for non-members who have made identifiable contributions this year. Please pick yours up today. Contributions are tracked according to envelope numbers, not names. Using your envelopes is a great help to the counters and data input operators.

ALL SAINTS DAY and All Faithful Departed Day will be celebrated next Sunday. You may submit names of those you wish to have remembered at the altar by filling out a form found on the bulletin board in the narthex. Please indicate if you would like the name read at the 8:00 or 10:15 service. There is also an envelope marked “completed forms” on the board. Please complete these forms TODAY.

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK one hour before you go to bed this Saturday.

ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY meets next Sunday at 9:15 a.m.

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN and the turkeys have made it to our front door. With your help we will once again supply a full turkey dinner for 6 of our food pantry clients. Please bring the food AND TURKEY back by Sunday, November 10. The baskets are picked up early to give the folks time for their turkeys to thaw. Refrigerated items go in the refrigerator in the boiler room and frozen items go in the chest freezer in the Food Bank. This is one of our church outreach programs that is a surprise blessing to those 6 families who are struggling day to day to keep food on their tables.

FOOD BANK It was so heartwarming to see the kids pull that wagon down the aisle full of food recently. They take this very seriously, and what a lesson in sharing! KIDS, thanks for your help in keeping our shelves full, and thanks to moms and dads for bringing the food to church for you!!

We can use jelly, pancake mix, syrup, juice, cereal, canned tomatoes (stewed or diced), stew, boxed potatoes, jiffy mix, laundry soap, and toothpaste.
PORK CHOPS A reminder that you can still buy pork chops. They are all marinated and you have a choice between already cooked and uncooked. They are currently frozen in zip lock bags with 4 pork chops per bag. We are selling them for $5.00 a bag. If you are interested in purchasing pork chops please see Cindy Spice.
