ANNOUNCEMENTS

 VESTRY will meet this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

 A NOTE FROM GEORGE SHAMP.  To my friends at St. Alban’s thank you so much for your prayers and generous donations.  The children of the orphanage at Honduras will be blessed with hours of enjoyment from the soccer and basketballs.  God’s blessing to you all.  George.

 CAMP NEW HAPPENINGS…  From Sunday afternoon July 23 until Saturday July 29th, Father Layden will be the chaplain at Camp New happenings.  Camp New Happenings is a special camp sponsored by the Diocese for younger children who have one or more parent who has been incarcerated.  The children come from all over Northern Indiana.  The goal is to spread the love of God and offer a camping experience to children who otherwise face many obstacles in life.

FATHER LAYDEN WILL BE ON VACATION FROM JULY 30 TO AUGUST 12.  Reverend Betty Frolick will Celebrate and preach on Sunday July 30th and August 6th.  If you have a pastoral emergency please contact Debbie in the office at 485-8022 or Senior warden Cindy Spice at 348-7061 and they will contact Reverend Betty or Father Tom Adamson.

DONATIONS TO TREASURE HOUSE:  when you donate tell them you are from St. Alban’s Church.  The church will be given a voucher based on a percentage of donations given which will be sent out quarterly.  Treasure House is a ministry of the rescue mission and is located on Coldwater Road next Walmart.

NEWSLETTER DEADLINE is this Thursday.  Don’t forget to submit your article for August newsletter.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 FOURTH OF JULY this Monday and Tuesday the office will be closed and reopen on Wednesday.  Have a safe and fun holiday.

YOUTH CHOIR will practice today at 11:30.

OIW committee will meet today at 12:00.

EVENING PRAYER will be today at 5:30 p.m.

WARDEN’S meeting this Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

MEN’S NIGHT OUT will meet this Thursday at 6:30 p.m.  Location TBD.

George and the others will be working with the people of San Jose de la Montana in San Pedro Sula.  Pray for safety and God’s guidance and love.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF ST. ALBAN. 

Saint Alban’s feast day is June 22nd on the Church calendar.  Alban is considered the first martyr in England.  His sacrifice for a traveling priest under persecution is legendary.  Let us join together as a family in the name of Christ and our patron Saint Alban.

 SENIOR HIGH MISSION WEEK starts today through Saturday.  Please keep the youth of the Diocese in your prayers as they perform work projects on the Western side of the Diocese.  Please especially pray for Cindy Spice and Father Dan as they help chaperone the week.

AN APOLOGY goes out to Marilyn McClure for an omission in last Sunday’s bulletin.  Marilyn requested the Altar Flowers be given for a special thanksgiving and remembrance.  The Bulletin should have included a prayer “to the glory of God in thanksgiving for Marilyn McClure’s birthday and her son Glenn’s birthday and in memory of her father Theodore Reeck.

 TODAY WE CELEBRATE FATHER’S DAY.  There will be a pancake brunch today at 11:30.

ST ALBAN’S SUNDAY on Sunday June 25, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Alban.  Please come and join us as we celebrate our patron saint.  Saint Alban’s feast day is June 22nd on the Church calendar.  We will have the 10:15 service in the parish hall and then afterwards have a cookout outside.  If you can help any way plea        please contact Mary Ann Krocker at 750-2265.

 GARAGE SALE – A BIG THANK YOU GOES TO PHILLIP AND JOYCE MAYER FOR ORGANIZING THIS SALE.  THANKS ALSO TO EVERYONE THAT DONATED OR HELPED.  IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO THE FOOD BANK.

 MEMORIAL DAY is this Monday.  Church office will be closed.

 GARAGE SALE this Thursday – Saturday, June 1-3.  Proceeds will go to help the food bank ministry. 

 OPEN, INVITE, WELCOME FORUM AFTER CHURCH SUNDAY JUNE 4TH.  Please join us after the 10:15 service in the Parish hall for an open forum lead by the OIW commission.  They will share the ideas they have been talking about and be open to comments, questions and suggestions.

 FATHER LAYDEN IS AWAY UNTIL SATURDAY AT A GLOBAL EPISCOPAL MISSION NETWORK CONFERENCE

 THERE WILL BE NO HOLY COMMUNION at 5:30 p.m. tonight or next Sunday.

THERE WILL BE NO WEDNESDAY NOON HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE.

ASCENSION DAY IS THURSDAY MAY 25TH.  Please come and join us for a simple yet wonderful service that evening at 7:00 p.m.  There is also a service at Grace Episcopal Church Fort Wayne at noon that day.  Please make your way to one of those services and celebrate our Lord’s ascension!
