Parish Announcements – week of February 11^th, 2024 (The Last Sunday after the Epiphany)

UPCOMING MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

The Ash Wednesday Liturgy (including Eucharist, the Imposition of Ashes and the Litany of Penitence) will take place here at St. Alban’s at 7 p.m. on 2/14/24. We will also be offering the Imposition of Ashes at the 11 a.m. Eucharist that follows the regular 10 a.m. Bible Study on that day as well. 

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Tuesday, February 13^th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall—please plan to come and bring a guest/friend! 

The Stations of the Cross will be offered and prayed each Friday in Lent at 6 p.m. beginning this coming Friday, 2/16/24 at 6 p.m. This spiritual practice will continue through the evening of Good Friday, 3/29/24.

Tuesday, February 13, 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. at Fort Wayne Rescue Mission (404 E. Washington Blvd.), Team II (Kenny White, Gary Michael, Matt Michael, and Gary Pink) is scheduled to serve dinner. Thank you for your service to this ministry. 

The Lunch Bunch will have its next gathering at Wu’s Chinese Restaurant (4411 Coldwater Rd., Fort Wayne) on Tuesday, February 13 at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome! 

The next Men’s Night Out will be on Wednesday, 2/28/24 at 6:30 p.m. at Don Halls Factory, 5811 Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne. Please see the sign-up sheet on the big bulletin board in the narthex and join us!

If you are able, please review the sign-up sheets in the Parish Hall for future openings for Coffee Hour sponsors and hosts and consider signing up for a Sunday; this makes our post-service fellowship very festive and delicious and we appreciate any and all help in this area!

Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall – come join us on Wednesdays as we tackle the Book of Isaiah. Our Bible Study is always followed by a celebration of the Eucharist. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

The evening Bible Study and Eucharist that takes place on Thursdays in the Parish Hall at 6:30 p.m. is currently engaged in reading the “Apocryphal” Book of the Wisdom of Solomon. All are welcome! 

FYI: Fr. Michael’s regular office hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and any other time by appointment. Monday is his regular day off.
