Welcome to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church—we’re very glad you’re here!
UPCOMINGMARK YOUR CALENDARS:
The Vestry of St. Alban’s will meet this coming Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
The Stations of the Cross will be offered and prayed each Friday in Lent at 6 p.m. This spiritual practice will continue through the evening of Good Friday, 3/29/24.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
We are in need of candy to fill eggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt that is held after our Easter Sunday service. We are requesting candy that is individually sealed and small enough to fit into an average plastic egg. If you prefer, you can donate money for us to purchase candy – please make any checks payable to Saint Alban’s and put Egg Hunt in the memo line. All candy should be placed on the table in the Youth Group room downstairs no later than Palm Sunday (March 24th). Reach out to Megan or Cindy Spice with any questions and thank you for your support!
Please note: there are special collection envelopes in the pews for the purpose of raising funds for our Holy Week and Easter flowers this year; also: there is provision for making such contributions “In memory of….” and/or “In thanksgiving for….” This memorials list will be printed in the Easter Day bulletin. Thank you for considering such a gift.
Continuing a practice that was started last year, we will be joining with Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Fort Wayne (as well as several other parishes from the Eastern Deanery of the Diocese) for The Great Vigil of Easter at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th; Fr. Michael has been invited to celebrate/officiate at this liturgy. Please join us for this once-a-year, first Eucharist of the Easter Season.
The next Men’s Night Out will at 6:30 pm on 3/27/24 at Hideout 125 (10350 Coldwater Rd., Fort Wayne, 46825—near the water tower). If you’re hungry on the 27th—and you’re a guy—come join us!!
If you are able, please review the sign-up sheets in the Parish Hall for future openings for Coffee Hour sponsors and hosts and consider signing up for a Sunday; this makes our post-service fellowship very festive and delicious and we appreciate any and all help in this area!
Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall – come join us on Wednesdays as we read the Book of Jonah. Our Bible Study is always followed by a celebration of the Eucharist. ALL ARE WELCOME!!
The evening Bible Study and Eucharist that takes place on Thursdays in the Parish Hall at 6:30 p.m.is currently engaged in reading the “Apocryphal” Book of the Wisdom of Solomon. All are welcome!
FYI: Fr. Michael’s regular office hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and any other time by appointment. Monday is his regular day off.
Peace and Blessings
