HEARTS AND HANDS is one of our Outreach programs here at St. Alban’s.  They sew hats and blankets for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Parkview Regional Hospital.  They make hundreds of pieces a year. They are in need of our help with donations for cloth, material, thread, or sewing needles and financial help.  It costs about 80 dollars a month to keep this great outreach program going. So if you find it in your heart to help them out, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, please contact Judith Palmer or Phillip Mayer.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY – We are in need of a food bank coordinator.  The duties consist of:  ordering supplies if needed from associated churches, grocery shop occasionally, fill out a simple monthly report for associated churches,  make a calendar for your volunteers quarterly, and make a yearly report for the annual meeting .  You do not have to be there every Wednesday. Congregation Assessment Tool

As you are all aware a few months ago our search committee interviewed several people in our congregation to find out their thoughts on how they feel the church is doing in several different areas. This was the first step that we needed to take to work towards the collaboration with Grace and in finding our next rector. We are currently still sorting and processing the outcomes of those interviews. The next step we need to take is asking everyone to participate in the Congregation Assessment Tool survey or CAT which is an online questionnaire to aid us in determining what is truly important to the congregation as a whole. This will help us determine how we move forward in this process. We will have from May 19th thru June 2nd to complete this process. Below is the link that you will need to go online to fill out the questionnaire. The process takes up to an hour to complete and must be completed all at once. For those of you that have problems doing anything online or if you don’t have access to the internet, we will have members available to assist you with this after the 8:00 a.m. and after the 10:15 a.m. services on May 26th and June 2nd. We will also have available print outs of the survey if you would like to take one home and fill it out. We just ask that you return this to the church by May 26th so that a member of the search committee or a vestry member may have time to input all of your answers by the June 2nd deadline. I strongly encourage you to fill out the questionnaire so that we will have a more accurate analysis of how the congregation feels and how to proceed from here.
Remember that this is our church family and everyone’s opinion matters so please consider taking part in this survey. Like I have said before, this is going to be a challenging year for all of us but I know that you love Saint Alban’s as much as I do and really want our church home to be here for many years to come. We are a small yet mighty parish and I believe that God has a plan for Saint Alban’s.
If you have any questions about this process or anything else that is currently going on within the church please contact Jordan Trendelman or myself.

Thank you
Cindy Spice
