CAMP NEW HAPPENINGS SUNDAY IS TODAY. There are special envelopes in the pew card holders for your support of this ministry. The mission of the camp, sponsored by the Diocese of Northern Indiana, is to provide pre-teen children of prisoners an opportunity to experience God’s gifts of nature, kindness, and togetherness by sharing hopes and dreams within a positive camping experience. Fr. Layden will be the camp chaplain this year.
OUTREACH COMMISSION meets today following the 10:15 service.
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING gather at 9:30 a.m. this Tuesday for Eucharist, followed by a meeting.
VESTRY meets this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
LENTEN PROGRAM Join us on the Wednesday evenings of March 26 and April 2 & 9. We will have Evening Prayer at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Soup and Sandwich Supper and a Lenten program. This year we are studying the giants of the faith, like Benedict, Francis and Ignatius. Please sign the poster in the narthex if you plan to attend the supper. There is also a signup sheet for those who would like to supply soup or sandwiches.
NEWSLETTER DEADLINE is this Thursday.
POST ALPHA GROUP meets this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jack & Sandra Rademaker.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS Join us at 6:00 p.m. each Friday during Lent. Walk with Jesus down the road to Calvary on The Way of the Cross, a powerful devotional liturgy that follows Jesus through His passion and death. At each station a meditation, versicle and response, and prayer is read
LENTEN FISH FRY Saint Alban’s Youth are hosting a fish fry on Sunday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m. Come and help us raise money to go to camp. Cost for dinner will be $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 4-12, and free for age 3 and under. Tickets will be sold every Sunday starting March 2, in between the services and after the 10:15 service. If you can’t attend the dinner remember we always accept contributions in any amount. If you have any questions regarding the dinner or any other youth event please see Cindy Spice.
KROGER CARDS Do you shop at Kroger’s or Scott’s? If so, there is a very simple way to provide funds for St. Alban’s. Simply sign the poster on the bulletin board by March 30, indicating that you would like to purchase a $5 gift card. Then reload that card at the customer service desk at the store where you shop. Each time the St. Alban’s account reaches $1,000, we get a 3% rebate check. Many of you have credit cards which generate points for you. If you reload using your credit card, you get points for that and the church gets credit for the reload amount.
LENTEN COIN FOLDERS AND MITE BOXES are available in the narthex. Proceeds from Mite Boxes will be used to support Charis House, a place for women and children experiencing a homeless crisis. Proceeds from Lenten Folders will be sent to The American Friends of the Diocese of Jerusalem.
UPDATED CHURCH DIRECTORIES were sent to all members who have given us their e-mail addresses. A few hard copies are available in the narthex for those who do not have e-mail.
COPIES OF AROUND THE DIOCESE for March are available on the table in the narthex for those who do not receive them by e-mail.
