WE WELCOME Francis Mustapha, a well-known retired teacher and evangelist from Fort Wayne, who started a Christian school in his childhood home of Madina, Sierra Leone, West Africa, as our guest preacher this morning. Please join us for brunch following the 10:15 service today.

AN OFFERING for support of the school in the village of Madina, Sierra Leone, West Africa will be accepted today and for the remainder of September. Please use the Outreach envelopes found in the pew card holders and in the narthex to contribute, and please keep this school in your prayers.

OUTREACH COMMISSION meets at 9:15 a.m. today.

ADULT CHOIR will rehearse at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays beginning today. Music enhances the act of worship and ties a congregation into the greater Church by continuing the traditions carried out by generations of Christians. The choir is entrusted with two things: to serve God in the capacity as conveyors of God’s Word through music, and to enhance the service for the faithful. Please consider joining this ministry.

YOUTH CHOIR meets at 11:30 a.m. today. This choir will meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

YOUTH GROUP, grades 6-12, meets at 6:30 p.m. today.

DAUGHTERS OF THE KING gather together at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday for Holy Eucharist, followed by a meeting. This organization for women in the Episcopal Church is dedicated to prayer and service. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, their vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.

VESTRY meets this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

NEWSLETTER DEADLINE is this Thursday at 9:00 a.m.

POST ALPHA GROUP meets this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jack Rademaker.

THE JOHNNY APPLESEED FESTIVAL is next weekend. The St. Alban’s Sizzle Chop Booth is a great opportunity for fellowship with your church family! Please sign the poster in the narthex if you could help for a three hour shift. Help is also needed to take down the booth at 5:00 Sunday. Talk with Chris or Melissa Renner or Cindy Spice if you have any questions.

NURSERY ATTENDANTS NEEDED We would like to staff our nursery with two people each Sunday. Teenagers, grandparents, mothers and fathers are invited to sign the poster on the bulletin board in the narthex.

FOOD BANK current needs: spaghetti sauce, egg noodles, tuna, stew, canned chicken, rice, muffin mix, PAPER GROCERY BAGS

ATTENDANCE last Sunday was 95.

DIOCESAN FESTIVAL DAY will be held Saturday September 27, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Camp Mack in Milford, Indiana. Gathering is at 10:00, with worship 11:00. Bishop Little will preach. The main dish for lunch will be provided, but you are asked to bring side dishes to share. The cost for individuals is $10.00, with a family maximum of $25.00. Please register online at http://ednin.org/events/ to provide an accurate head count. Payments may be mailed to the diocesan office or brought to the event.
