 SUNDAY EVENING 5:30 Worship has guest musicians.  Come join our new Sunday evening worship service to see what it has to offer.  The service itself is held in the parish hall, which provides a smaller, more relaxed setting, one that is closer together and more intimate.  In addition, you will find the music is contemporary, and very uplifting.  We are blessed to have a couple of guest musicians joining us from Grace Episcopal who have been assisting with the music program lately.  Many of you know Ted Kimball who is a great guitar player.  Come and join us or tell a friend.

 PRAYERS FOR PEACE ON SATURDAY AT 11:00 A.M.  Every Saturday from now through the end of May please join us for prayers for peace on the lawn.  The prayers will be for our community and the world.  The prayer service will be at 11:00 a.m. and last for about twenty minutes to a half hour.  Come join us for the power of prayer.

 KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS POINTS.  As most of you know, Saint Alban’s receives money from the Kroger Community Rewards Program. This is the easiest fundraiser that we have and the money goes into our Camp Fund.  The program is very simple, use your Kroger plus card at the register and as long as it has been registered as well as designated for Saint Alban’s, the rewards would go into our fund. It is also important to note that the rewards that we receive will not affect your rewards points for gas or anything else. This is a completely separate program and you will still receive your points. This has to be done online, now I realize that registering your card online may be a bit challenging for some. So I will be bringing my computer to church on Sunday April 23rd and Sunday April 30th to assist anyone that needs help registering your card. I will be available after the 8:00 a.m. and before and after the 10:15 a.m. services.  Remember to bring with you your Kroger plus Card with you. Also, keep in mind that with this program even though you might have already done this that you will need to re-register each year sometime during the month of April. The Daughters of the King have been asked to sponsor a baby shower at St. Alban’s the month of February to help A Baby’s Closet replenish items needed by expectant mothers and those who have an infant or toddler under age three.  Daughters will be at a table in the narthex each Sunday for both services to assist you.  A list of larger items needed are:  baby gate, blankets, quilts, car seat (convertible), clothing (newborn to 4T), coat, jacket, snowsuit, crib and mattress (set), diaper bag, high chair, onesies, sheets (crib), sleepers, strollers (can be used in good condition), towels (bath) and toys.

A list of miscellaneous items needed are:  cream, lotion, oil, powder, shampoo, bath wash, bottles, bottle brushes, hair brushes, nail clippers, pacifiers, Q-tips, rattles, sippy cups, spoons, teething rings and wipes.

A“baby bottle” will also be available for collecting any loose coins and cash to purchase diapers only.

PANCAKE SUPPER is scheduled for Tuesday February 28 at

5:30 – 7:00 p.m.    Pancakes, sausage, fruit, and beverages will be served. A free will offering will be taken.  Proceeds will go to the Operating Fund.  Please sign the poster in the narthex so we will know how much food to purchase.  Join us and bring your friends!

Below is a tentative schedule for 2017.  All dates and places are subject to change, if necessary.  We welcome all who can join us on the second Tuesday of each month for lunch.  Watch for the flyer on the bulletin board in the narthex for making your reservation.  We will arrange to carpool from the church, especially when the location is out of town.  Occasionally we have dessert at someone’s home where further visiting and fellowship continues.  If you have questions, want directions, or need to cancel your reservation, please call Anita at 449-9682.

 CHANGE IN TIME FOR LUNCH BUNCH on Tuesday, February 14, will be for 11:30 AM instead of 12 Noon.  We will meet at Casa Grille Italiano at 6340 Stellhorn Road.  Carpool should leave the church by 11:15 AM.  Following lunch we will meet at Marilyn McClure’s home for dessert and tentatively decide where we would like to have lunch for the rest of the year.  Please sign the sheet in the narthex if you will be attending.  You may contact Anita at church or by phone (449-9682), if you have any questions or need to cancel your reservation.

SMALL PIERCED EARRING FOUND IN CHURCH

A small pierced earring was recently found on the carpet between the pews during cleaning on Jan. 15.  As you enter the sanctuary, it was located on the right side about in the middle. It is shaped like a flower with copper-colored petals and a clear glass stone in the middle.  Please see Anita at the 10:15 service or call her home at 449-9682.  Hoping to find the owner!

SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY   Hundreds of congregations nationwide will transform Super Bowl Sunday into Souper Bowl Sunday – a unique interdenominational endeavor to glorify God and care for “the least of these brothers and sisters of mine.”  Matthew 25:40.  Please make a special effort to bring a can of soup to church on February 5 for this Souper collection.
