September 12, 2020

Beginning this coming Sunday September 13, 2020 we will begin live streaming Morning Prayer Service from Saint Alban’s on our very own YouTube channel! Morning Prayer will begin at 9:30am.  Since Allen County is in the color Orange in regard to Covid numbers we are able to have a few people in the building to preform the service but unfortunately no more than that. We are very excited about being able to stream from the building and hopefully this will give some of you a little comfort to be able to see our Sanctuary. We will of course be following all of the guidelines set forth by the Diocese so that everyone stays safe. With this technology we plan to continue live streaming the services even after we are able to worship in person so that anyone that isn’t able to come may still be able to follow along with our church services.

Saint Alban’s YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATo1XzD8KUk

There will be a virtual coffee hour on zoom after the service for anyone that wants to check in and chat with everyone. If you would like to join us for Zoom coffee hour contact us at: info@saintalbanfw.org

We will post the recorded service on our Facebook page and it will be archived on our YouTube channel, so if you are unable to attend during the service time you can always watch at a time that is convenient to you.

Service Announcements

Due to COVID-19, Saint Albans Fort Wayne has suspended all services and in-person activities until further notice.

However you may visit The Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana for updates within the Diocese and the leadership in our Diocese has also put together a list of daily prayer services for everyone in our faith communities. During this trying time it is extremely important for all of us to hang on to our faith. Since we are unable to worship together in person these different services will allow us to worship together virtually. They are still working on adding a few more service opportunities and we will send those out when we have them. Continue to stay safe and remember to pray for all affected by COVID-19.

TOWN HALL MEETING: Please mark your calendars for Saturday December 21st for our town hall meeting to talk about the collaboration with Grace Episcopal Church. The meeting begins at 4:00 p.m. and Mother Terri Bays will be here to help us facilitate the conversation. Our hope will be to discuss the many different aspects of how the collaboration will work. Remember that we will only be sharing the cost and time of our priest. If you are unable to come to this meeting and would like some questions brought up and answered then write them down and give it to Jordan or myself. We will make every effort to get these answered and back to you after the meeting. My hope is to have our entire congregation involved with this process.

YOUTH GROUP will meet every Sunday at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for practice of the Christmas Play.

YOUTH GROUP PLAY AND DINNER: Please mark your calendars for Sunday December 22 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s play is called “It’s A Cool Life” which is set in a 50’s type diner and filled with fun characters that will prove to be inspirational as well as hilarious. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Tops for Education has gone digital on their products. If you want to continue saving these for Shambaugh Elementary School like we have been doing, you will have to do it individually on your own phone. You can go on their website and learn how to sign up. You may want to switch to another school that your children go to or have gone to in the past. I just have a plain cell phone that doesn’t have all the bells and whistles! The box we had at the church for people to put their saved box tops in has been removed. We thank all of you who participated in the past.
Anita Grams, Past Coordinator
