UPCOMINGMARK YOUR CALENDARS:

Quilt for Camp

We are selling raffle tickets for a Quilt to help support our Diocesan Youth Summer Camp. The quilt was made by Charlie and Grayson Frede’s Godmother and a camp staffer Katie Chynoweth from St. Paul’s in Munster.

The quilt patches were chosen to help reflect this year’s camp theme, Yum! Come Taste & See. The tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. It is important to know that this money is going to help all youth in our Diocese and not just our youth here at St. Alban’s. If you want to donate anything to just our youth, you can do that on Youth Sunday (please see this information in a different announcement).

The winning ticket will be selected at our closing ceremony for Youth Camp on Saturday June 15th. You do not need to present to win, we will make sure it gets to you if you win. You can purchase tickets beginning this Sunday April 28th thru Sunday June 2nd from Robbie Frede, Megan Spice or Cindy Spice.

Sunday May 19th will be our Annual Youth Sunday Celebration. On Youth Sunday, the youth in our congregation completely take over the service. They will be doing readings, ushering and one of our high school seniors, Anna Layden will be doing the Homily. We also take this opportunity to raise money to help our kids participate in either Youth Camp or Senior High Mission. The cost of Youth Camp is $500 per camper and Senior High Mission is under $400 per youth. There will be envelopes in the pews that Sunday for anyone that would like to donate towards our youth. Last year we were able to give $250 per youth to go to camp. We will also have a cake during coffee hour to honor our two seniors, Anna Layden and John Win. Mark your calendars so that you don’t miss this wonderful Sunday. Please contact Cindy Spice if you have any questions about Youth Sunday or how to donate to our youth.

If you are able, please review the sign-up sheets in the Parish Hall for future openings for Coffee Hour sponsors and hosts and consider signing up for a Sunday; this makes our post-service fellowship very festive and delicious and we appreciate any and all help in this area!

Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall – come join us on Wednesdays as we read the Gospel of John. Our Bible Study is always followed by a celebration of the Eucharist. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

The evening Bible Study and Eucharist that take place on Thursdays in the Parish Hall at 6:30 p.m. is currently engaged in reading the “Minor Prophet,” the Book of Amos. All are welcome!

FYI: Fr. Michael’s regular office hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and any other time by appointment.  Monday is his regular day off.
