THE ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY meets today at 9:15 a.m. There will be only one meeting in August.

THE OUTREACH COMMISSION will have an open meeting at 11:30 a.m. today. We would like anyone who has ideas for an outreach project for St. Alban’s to come and share them with us.

LAY EUCHARIST MINISTERS AND LECTORS MEET NEXT SUNDAY. The meeting for the 8:00 worshippers will be at 9:00 a.m., and the meeting for those who worship at 10:15 will be at 11:30. Anyone who is not currently serving, but would like to is asked to attend one of these meetings also.

SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN training session has been rescheduled to next Sunday at 3:00 p.m. All those helping with Sunday School and Nursery are required to attend this.

SERVERS, CRUCIFERS, AND TORCHBEARERS, please mark your calendars for a meeting following the 10:15 service on August 25. If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, then please contact Father Layden.

SIGN UP NOW to help with our Johnny Appleseed Festival booth. Setup is at 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 20. The festival is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us for a three-hour shift as a cook or server on Saturday and Sunday, or as an early morning fire starter. We provide the attire and supplies. Come and enjoy the fun and fellowship. New members are especially urged to attend. It’s a good way to get to know others.

CHRISTIAN FORMATION MINISTRIES We are looking for anyone who might be interested in either teaching Sunday School or volunteering in the nursery during the school year. Our hope is that we get enough people that you would only serve in this area once a month or less. The only skill that you need is the ability to love and support our children. You will be required to attend a training session on Safeguarding God’s Children next Sunday at 3:00 p.m. This training is required every 3 years. FOOD BANK School will be up and going strong this month. Please know, teachers and students, we are thinking of you and pray for a successful year. Thank you all for helping to keep our shelves filled. It seems the need is forever with us. We can always use workers 2½ hours once a month or when convenient for you. We need juice, pasta sauce, can fruit, tuna, laundry soap, dishwashing liquid, bar soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and toothpaste.

OPEN DATES for Sanctuary Candles are August 18 and 25, and September 8, 15, 22 and 29.
