SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS meet today following the 10:15 service.

LENTEN FISH FRY Saint Alban’s Youth are hosting a fish fry today at 6:00 p.m. Come and help us raise money to go to camp. Cost for dinner is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 4-12, and free for age 3 and under. Tickets will be sold in between the services today and after the 10:15 service. If you can’t attend the dinner remember we always accept contributions in any amount. If you have any questions regarding the dinner or any other youth event please see Cindy Spice.

LENTEN PROGRAM Join us on the Wednesday evenings of April 2 & 9. We will have Evening Prayer at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Soup and Sandwich Supper and a Lenten program. This year we are studying the giants of the faith, like Benedict, Francis and Ignatius. Please sign the poster in the narthex if you plan to attend the supper. There is also a signup sheet for those who would like to supply soup or sandwiches.

PRAYER NIGHT will be held at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday. We will discuss our prayer lives, offer prayers for the Church, and discuss important Christian topics for the month.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS Join us at 6:00 p.m. each Friday during Lent. Walk with Jesus down the road to Calvary on The Way of the Cross, a powerful devotional liturgy that follows Jesus through His passion and death. At each station a meditation, versicle and response, and prayer is read

FOOD COLLECTION All youth are invited to bring in items for our food bank next Sunday. On that day you will see in the narthex the basket and wagon, where you can deposit food gifts, vital to our ministry. Further, reaching out to others in love is central to being a Christian. Through your generosity many are fed. Please see the current needs listed below.

FOOD BANK current needs: crackers, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, chicken broth, ketchup, mustard, flour, sugar, muffin mix, cake mix, jello, pudding, bar soap, dishwashing liquid.

Please note: we currently have an abundance of macaroni and cheese, tuna, pancake mix and syrup, chicken noodle soup, and canned vegetables.

LUNCH BUNCH will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 at Tiffany’s Restaurant, 414 E Lake Street, Topeka, Indiana. A car pool leaves the church at 11:30. Please sign the poster in the narthex. If you need to cancel your reservation, contact Anita at 637-5084.

WORSHIP COMMISSION has been rescheduled to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10.

ALTAR GUILD meets at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12 to prepare palms.

A CHRISM EUCHARIST will be celebrated at the Cathedral Church of St. James in South Bend at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12. The bishop encourages as many lay members as possible to attend this significant event in the life of the diocese. A luncheon will follow the Eucharist. Please sign the poster in the narthex by this Wednesday, April 2.

AN ALL NIGHT WATCH follows the Maundy Thursday service on April 17 and continues until the Good Friday Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. We are invited to keep watch on this night even as Jesus asked His disciples to keep watch with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane as He prayed about His impending crucifixion. Please sign the poster in the narthex. More than one person may sign for each segment.

ENVELOPES FOR EASTER FLOWERS are in the pew card holders. You may contribute any amount for these flowers. Please note whether you would like the flowers in thanksgiving for an important event in your life or in memory of a loved one. Envelopes must be received by April 6 to have information listed in the bulletin.

KROGER CARDS Do you shop at Kroger’s or Scott’s? If so, there is a very simple way to provide funds for St. Alban’s. Simply sign the poster on the bulletin board today, indicating that you would like to purchase a $5 gift card. Then reload that card at the customer service desk at the store where you shop. Each time the St. Alban’s account reaches $1,000, we get a 3% rebate check. Many of you have credit cards which generate points for you. If you reload using your credit card, you get points for that and the church gets credit for the reload amount.

UPDATED CHURCH DIRECTORIES were sent to all members who have given us their e-mail addresses. A few hard copies are available in the narthex for those who do not have e-mail.

COPIES OF AROUND THE DIOCESE for March are available on the table in the narthex for those who do not receive them by e-mail.
