STATIONS OF THE CROSS Join us at 6:00 p.m. each Friday during Lent. Walk with Jesus down the road to Calvary on The Way of the Cross, a powerful devotional liturgy that follows Jesus through His passion and death. At each station a meditation, versicle and response, and prayer is read
ALTAR GUILD meets at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday to prepare palms.
NEXT WEEK IS PALM SUNDAY, when we remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. At the 10:15 service we assemble at the outdoor crucifix and process into the church carrying palm branches, while singing the traditional hymn All Glory Laud and Honor. Incense will be used at the 10:15 service.
WORSHIP WITH US DURING HOLY WEEK. Holy Eucharist will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You are highly encouraged to attend all the services from Maundy Thursday through Easter. So many simply go from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday and miss the in between.
ON MAUNDY THURSDAY we gather at 7:00 p.m. to commemorate the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion by our Lord. The service will include stripping of the altar. Bread and wine consecrated at this service remains on the Altar of Repose during the night.
AN ALL NIGHT WATCH follows the Maundy Thursday service and concludes with the Good Friday Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. We are invited to keep watch on this night even as Jesus asked His disciples to keep watch with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane as He prayed about His impending crucifixion. Please sign the poster in the narthex. More than one person may sign for each segment.
ON GOOD FRIDAY the 9:00 a.m. Liturgy includes communion from the Reserved Sacrament and a reading of the Passion According to St. John. Stations of the Cross are offered at noon and 6:00 p.m. The evening service is especially geared to young members.
