WORSHIP COMMISSION meets this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
PRAYER NIGHT will be held at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday. Join us as we pray for concerns of our church and nation.
SUNDAY SCHOOL begins next week. Students and teachers will gather in the Parish Hall for snack between 10:00 and 10:10, then proceed downstairs at 10:15 for Sunday School. There are two classrooms this year. PreK-4th grade and 5th grade – 8th grade. The children will join the congregation at the Peace.
ALL USHERS are asked to attend a meeting at 9:15 next Sunday. New ushers are always welcome. Responsibilities of the ushers include greeting, handing out service leaflets, putting up the flags, ringing the bell, taking up the offering, and tidying up the pews after the service.
THE LUNCH BUNCH will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, at Quiet Corner Tea & Coffee Room, outside Churubusco. Please sign the poster in the narthex. If you need to cancel your reservation, contact Anita at 341-4057.
ALTAR GUILD meets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13 to clean. New members are always welcome.
THE NORTHMEN, a Christian music group that has sung in 36 states and 6 foreign countries, will be here on Saturday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, however, a free will offering will be collected to show our appreciation. If you wish to contribute by check, please make it payable to The Northmen. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
A CARRY-IN BRUNCH will be held following the 10:15 service on Sunday, September 14. On that day Francis Mustapha will be a guest speaker at both services. Francis is a well-known retired teacher and evangelist from Fort Wayne, who started a Christian school in his childhood home of Madina, Sierra Leone, West Africa. Please help us welcome our guest by joining us for the brunch. A signup sheet is posted in the narthex.
THE JOHNNY APPLESEED FESTIVAL is fast approaching. The St. Alban’s Sizzle Chop Booth is a great opportunity for fellowship with your church family! NURSERY ATTENDANTS NEEDED We would like to staff our nursery with two people each Sunday. Teenagers, grandparents, mothers and fathers are invited to sign the poster on the bulletin board in the narthex.
