WE WELCOME the Rev. Betty Frolick as our celebrant and preacher today, and pray for God’ blessings upon her proclamation of the Word and administering of the Sacrament.

YOUTH CHOIR meets today at 11:30 a.m.

YOUTH GROUP meets tonight at 6:30.

WORSHIP COMMISSION meets this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

PRAYER NIGHT will be held this Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY has changed the Saturday meeting time to 10:00 a.m. All men are invited to attend this study which looks at the lessons for the following Sunday.

CONFIRMATION CLASS BEGINS NEXT SUNDAY For students in grades 8 and 9, or anyone older who would like to be confirmed or received or reaffirm their faith, a confirmation class will be held at 9:15 a.m. on the Sundays of October 5, 12 and 26, and November 2 and 9. Bishop Little’s next official visit will be February 8, 2015, when he will confirm, receive and reaffirm those from this class. If you have any questions or want to know more, then please contact Father Layden. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex.

THE FIRST GRIEF WORKSHOP will be held next Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Rick Leone, grief counselor at Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY AND FELLOWSHIP will begin a new study on October 9, A Walk through the Life of Elijah. Anyone interested in enriching their faith through study and discussion is welcome to join this group which meets at the home of Marilyn McClure from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

DON’T MISS THIS FUN EVENT! A wiener roast will be held at 4:30 on October 11 at the home of Marilyn Rafter. We will provide hot dogs, buns, chips and beverages, plus the makings for s’mores. Please sign the poster in the narthex indicating what dish you will bring to share.

AN OFFERING for support of the school in the village of Madina, Sierra Leone, West Africa will be accepted today. Please use the Outreach envelopes found in the pew card holders and on the bulletin board and table in the narthex to contribute, and please keep this school in your prayers. Make checks payable to St. Alban’s. Include the number of your offering envelope to have the contribution appear on your statement.

OPEN DATES for Altar Flowers are October 26 and November 9, 16 and 30.

OPEN DATE for Sanctuary Candle is November 30.
