CONFIRMATION CLASS continues for students in grades 8 and 9, or anyone older who would like to be confirmed or received or reaffirm their faith. The class meets at 9:15 a.m. on the Sundays of October 12 and 26, and November 2 and 9. Bishop Little’s next official visit will be February 8, 2015, when he will confirm, receive and reaffirm those from this class. If you have any questions or want to know more, then please contact Father Layden.

YOUTH CHOIR meets today at 11:30 a.m.

YOUTH GROUP meets today at 6:30 p.m.

LUNCH BUNCH meets at 12:30 p.m. this Tuesday at the Village Inn, 190 N Main Street, Roanoke. A car pool will leave the church at 11:45. Please sign the poster in the narthex. If you need to cancel your reservation, contact Anita at 341-4057.

POST ALPHA GROUP meets this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of jack Rademaker.

NEXT SUNDAY IS CELEBRATION SUNDAY There will be ONE SERVICE AT 9:00 a.m. followed by a brunch. Please sign the poster in the narthex indicating how many from your family will attend and what you will bring. As part of the service, please return your pledge/commitment card.

MEN’S NIGHT OUT will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 23.

THE DIOCESAN CONVENTION will be held at Trinity Church, Michigan City, Indiana, on October 24-25. Please keep the convention and our delegates, Elaine Fazzaro, Marilyn McClure and Rick Spice, in your prayers.

THE NEXT GRIEF WORKSHOP will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2. Robert Rogers of Mighty in the Land Ministry will speak on Living a Life with No Regrets. He is the author of Into the Deep: One Man’s Story of How Tragedy Took His Family but Could Not Take His Faith.

ALL SAINTS DAY and All Faithful Departed Day will be celebrated on Sunday, November 2. You may submit names of those you wish to have remembered at the altar by filling out a form found on the bulletin board in the narthex. There is also an envelope marked “completed forms” on the board.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who helped run our Sizzle Chop booth at the Johnny Appleseed Festival. Whether you worked the booth, helped set up or tear down, planned the operation, cleaned up afterwards, washed linens, shared experience and wisdom, or prayed for the success of the event, you are appreciated! With God’s help, we came together again for a wonderful weekend of fellowship. Thank you!

LEFT OVER PORK CHOPS AND CIDER from the Johnny Appleseed Festival are available. Pork chops (cooked or frozen) are $5 a bag with 4-5 chops per bag, and cider is $3 per gallon. Please see Chris or Melissa Renner or Cindy Spice.

OPEN DATES for Altar Flowers are October 26 and November 9, 16 and 30.
