WELCOME.  We want to welcome any and all visitors with us today.  If you would like to make yourself known to us, then please fill out a blue card found in your pews and place it in the alms plate when that is passed.  Please also join us for fellowship after the service in the parish hall which is to your right as you exit the sanctuary.

NEW COFFEE HOUR.  This year we will be trying something new for coffee hour after the 10:15 service.  Instead of relying on a few individuals many times, we are encouraging everyone to sign up for a few Sundays throughout the year.  There is a schedule posted on the board through December.  Thus if you can sign up for one Sunday between now and then that would be great.  Instructions on what to do for the Sunday you sign up will be provided.  If you should have any questions then please talk to Marilyn Rafter or Jane Spice.    A big thank you to all who have helped with coffee hour in the past.

LEM MEETING.  There will be a meeting after each service on today for LEM’s and Lector’s.  If you are a LEM or Lector or would like to become one, then please attend one of these two meetings.

LUNCH BUNCH will meet this Tuesday, August 11 at Hall’s Gashouse on the  Deck, located at 305 E. Superior Street.  Car pool leaves the church at 10:30. Please sign the poster in the narthex.  If you need a ride or need to cancel  your reservation, contact Anita at 449-9682.

FRIENDS IN FAITH.  Friends in Faith is once again meeting on Wednesdays at 10:30am.  They continue to study the lessons for the week.  In the month of August there will be no Holy Eucharist after the study.

OUTREACH.  The outreach commission will once again meet this Friday at 11:00am.  For more info about outreach please contact Marilyn McClure or Anita Grams. 

ADULTS BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY.  Beginning on September 13 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and every 3rd Sunday of the month thru May we will be having a discussion group for working adults. There will be an introduction dinner on Sunday August 16 at 6:00 p.m. to go over the topics that have been chosen. FATHER LAYDEN’S VACATION IN AUGUST.  Father Layden will be on vacation from August 10th through August 24th.  For Pastoral concerns please contact Rev. Betty Frolic at 493-0701 or Rev. Mike Fulk at 497-9718.  Rev. Betty Frolick will be our celebrant and preacher on August 16th and 23rd.
