ALPHA COURSE STARTING TONIGHT! at 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. It is not mandatory to come to every session, but it is highly recommended. It is 12 weeks plus a celebration at the end for a total of 13 weeks and one Saturday morning. Questions? Call the office or talk to Julie Zeider or Larry Sanxter.
OPEN, INVITE, WELCOME. Please read the letter that was sent out to the whole congregation about an exciting new initiative called Open, Invite, Welcome. If you did not receive this via email or regular mail, then please let us know and get a hard copy that is out in the narthex.
YOUTH CHOIR STARTING IN 2017. Youth of all ages are welcome to join the Youth Choir starting in 2017. We will meet immediately following church services on the first Sunday of each month. The first youth choir practice in 2017 will be after service today in the Sanctuary. Following our initial meeting, practices will be held the first Sunday of each month. We are planning to sing during church services and will put together a schedule following the first meeting/practice. Please bring the names of your favorite songs and your singing voices. DAUGHTERS OF THE KING will meet this Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
VESTRY will meet this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
ROOF PAID OFF! A big thank you to all who donated to the roof project! It is now paid off. If you would like to fulfill the pledge you made for the roof fund, you can still give it to the church and it will be used in the operating fund where it is needed.
CHOIR will meet this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
SUNDAY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE will be tonight at 5:30 p.m.
BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP will meet this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jack Rademaker.
ANNUAL MEETING ON SUNDAY JANUARY 22ND. There will be one service that Sunday at 9am followed by a brunch and then the annual meeting. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex so we know how many people will attend, and if you can bring an item for the brunch.
BISHOP SPARKS VISIT ON JANUARY 29TH. Please note that Bishop Doug sparks will be here for his first official visit on January 29th. He will be the celebrant and preacher at both services. After each service there will be a special reception. Please talk to Father Dan if you would like to help with the reception after the 8am service. After the second service there will be a light lunch provided. Please sign up for attendance purposes only as you do not need to bring anything. Please also keep Jaelyn Pontius, Tammy Gillig, Phillip and Joyce Mayer in your prayers as they plan to be confirmed or reaffirm their baptismal vows.
ALTAR FLOWER AND SANCTUARY CANDLE CHARTS FOR 2017 are posted in the narthex. Envelopes are found beneath the charts. Please include the information you would like listed in the bulletin. Make your check payable to St. Alban’s. Cost of flowers is $35.00. Cost of sanctuary candles is $5.00.
OFFERING ENVELOPES: don’t forget to pick up your envelopes for the new year. They are on the table in the narthex.
