GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH INVITES YOU TO HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER. Beginning Wednesday evening, December 5th, Grace Episcopal Church will again have its weekly Advent Soup Supper at 6:00 p.m. followed by Holden Evening Prayer at 7:00 p.m. Holden Evening Prayer is a form of traditional Vespers developed in 1986 at Holden Village in Chelsea, Washington.  This beautiful setting, by Marty Haugen, is easily sung by the congregation, includes scripture readings and prayers, and the service lasts about ½ hour. Holden Evening Prayer has been an integral part of Grace’s Lenten and Advent seasons for many years. We hope you will join us on Wednesdays, December 5th, 12th, and 19th. This is the perfect way to prepare your hearts and minds for Christmas.  If you plan on going to the soup dinner before then they need to know ahead of time to assure they have enough. Let me know if you have any questions. Cindy Spice.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP will meet this Thursday at 2:00 -4:00 at the home of Marilyn Rafter.

A QUIET DAY.  A quiet day for Advent will be here at the church on Saturday December 8th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  You can come and go as you please.  There will be a reflection at the beginning of every hour, and suggestions on how to spend your quiet time will be given.  A light supper will be provided at 5:00 pm, so please sign the sign-up sheet if you plan to attend.

CHRISTMAS FAMILIES  “Adopt-A-Family” Christmas Program

It’s that time of year when we sponsor and help two families have a good Christmas.  The Daughters will be heading up this project beginning today, Sunday, November 18th.  A Christmas “giving” tree will be in the narthex and filled with ornaments that have gift requests on the back.  Daughters will be nearby at a table to register the ornament you choose. We have been given two families from the Lutheran Social Services of Indiana.  One family has a father and mother (both age 34), girl (age 17), boy (age 4) and girl (age 2 months). The other family has a mother (age 21), adult female (age 45), boy (age 2) and girl (age 1).  Food and miscellaneous items are also furnished, along with a $50.00 gift card to be used for meat, potatoes, bread, and perishables. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Daughters of the King at St. Alban’s Rose of Sharon Chapter
