CHRISTMAS TAG MEALS DUE DECEMBER 11.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the church,
not a creature was stirring, anywhere in the lurch,

The tree tags were hung on the front doors with care,
By December 11th the congregation will have them all here,

The choir were nestled all snug in their robes,
while thoughts of Christmas carols had them tapping their toes,

And Joyce in her ‘kerchief and Phil in his cap,
had just made the Christmas baskets, zippity zap.

When out on the steeple there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our pews to see what was the matter,

Away to the narthex we flew like a flash,
tore open the doors and make a mad dash,

When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little bald driver so quickly he ran,
I know in a moment it must be Father Dan,

More rapid than eagles his courses then came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name,

Now Laura, now Bonnie, Now Sonja and Sally,
On Tom, On Jay, On Anita, On Carolyn and George,

To the top of the staircase, down the hall,
To the Food Pantry, fill the bags for all who call.
Created and Written by Joyce Mayer
