MEN’S NIGHT OUT will meet this Thursday at Salvatori’s Authentic Italian Eatery, 10337 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne.

WORSHIP COMMISSION: will meet this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

OCTOBER HUNGER ACTION MONTH: Please help us feed the hungry by bringing in your gifts of canned and boxed food in October.Today the bags, with a list of items needed, will be on the round table for the 8 a.m. service. The children will be handing out the bags at the 10:15 service. The donations will be dedicated the following Sunday, October 9. Your contributions to the St.Alban’s Food Band will feed those in need.”

The Lunch Bunch meets at 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 11, at the Lodge at Coyote Creek Golf Club, 4935 Hillegas Road, Fort Wayne. A car pool will leave the church at 11:30. Please look for the poster on the bulletin board in the narthex to make your reservation. We would love to have you join us! YOUTH will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. Youth group is held every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. thru May 2017. The group is open to all youth between 6 and 12 grades. We are very excited about our upcoming events and are looking forward to welcoming several new faces this year. Today we welcome the Right Reverend Doug Sparks our new Bishop. Bishop Doug will preside and preach at both the 8 and 10:15 service. After the second service is a carry in lunch.
Father Dan will be out of commission from July 26 through September 1st. Father Dan will be having surgery in early August and plan to be out for a month. Fortunately, Reverend Betty Frolick has agreed to cover the Sunday services and any pastoral concerns or funerals that may arise in this time. We want to say thank you to Reverend Betty for presiding at both services, in August, in Father Dan’s absence. God Bless You.

LOUISIANA FLOODING As you all know some of our neighbors in Louisiana have been devastated by recent flooding. At least 40,000 homes have been lost and more than 100,000 left homeless. The St Alban’s Outreach Commission would like to extend our love and support the best way we can. The Episcopal Relief and Development workers are on the ground helping with the disaster victims. . One can give to directly to the Episcopal Disaster Relief fund via website http://www.episcopalrelief.org You can also donate through St. Alban’s and we will send a check to the Episcopal Relief and Development. To give through St. Alban’s place cash or check, made out to St. Alban’s, in the outreach envelope marked for the flooding victims. God has blessed us; now let us share that blessing with those in need. We will be collecting money for the next two weeks.

     ANNOUNCEMENTS

  FATHER DAN will be out of commission from July 26 through September 1st. Father Dan will be having surgery in early August and plans to be out for a month. Fortunately, Reverend Betty Frolick has agreed to cover the Sunday services and any pastoral concerns or funerals that may arise in this time. You can contact her at 493-0701. You can also get a hold of the church office and Debbie will get a hold of her, or you can contact our Senior warden Julie Zeider at 637-4707 and she can get a hold of her as well.

 THERE IS $4787.81 LEFT TO PAY OFF THE ROOF PROJECT.  At this point we are paying back the money we borrowed from our endowment fund.

COFFEE HOUR:  We still need volunteers for the rest of July. It’s fun and easy: just bring some goodies to share after the 10:15 Sunday service.  If you are unsure about making coffee, no worries, there is always someone around who can help.  It’s a great way to connect with all the wonderful people at St. Albans.  The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board with all the details.

FOOD BANK NEEDS ARE:  peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, ketchup, cake mix, canned soup all kinds, tuna and canned fruit.  At this time we do not need veggies or Mac n Cheese.  We are well stocked on these items.  Thank you for all your donations. Thank you, also, for everyone that gives their time to helprun the food bank smoothly.

 A REMINDER:  If you have article(s) you would like to submit to the C&Sfor August, please do so by the deadline of July 21.  Thank you.
