SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 begin today at 10:15. Classes end at The Peace.

SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN Following the 10:15 service today there will be training for all nursery workers and teachers. Meet in the youth room downstairs.

A YOUTH GROUP COOKOUT for students in grades 6 through 12 will be held today, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Mike and Kelli MacDonald, 15915 Bayview Boulevard, Grabill. Please contact Cindy Spice, 348-7061, to let her know that you plan to attend and what dish you are able to provide.

EVERYONE WELCOME! It’s not too late to join the choir. Music is an integral part of the worship life of Christians. Please prayerfully consider joining us at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

FINANCE AND PROPERTY commissions meet at 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday.

ALTAR GUILD meets at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday to clean. Many hands will make the task go quickly. All current members are asked to be present. New members are always welcome.

ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY meets next Sunday at 9:15 a.m. and again on September 29.

JUNIOR CHOIR Students in grade 2 and up are welcome to join the new junior choir, which will rehearse every week, beginning next Sunday, from approximately 11:30 to noon. Plan now to add these rehearsals to your calendar.

JOHNNY APPLESEED BOOTH SETUP Those helping to set up the Johnny Appleseed Booth should meet at the church at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 20

SIGN UP NOW to help with our Johnny Appleseed Festival booth. The festival is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us for a three-hour shift as a cook or server on Saturday and Sunday, or as an early morning fire starter. We provide the attire and supplies. Come and enjoy the fun and fellowship. If you’re new, why not join the crew?

SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH. Chris Renner will be presenting a Disaster Preparedness Seminar on Saturday, September 28, at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome. Please join us as we talk about how to get prepared for a disaster.

FOOD BANK CURRENT NEEDS: fruit juice, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes, ramen noodles, flour, sugar, salad dressing, laundry soap, bar soap, and toothpaste. Please note that we currently have an overabundance of vegetables and soup. We can always use workers 2½ hours once a month or when convenient for you.
