TEACHERS NEEDED A teachers’ meeting will be held today after the 10:15 service. Anyone interested in teaching is asked to attend this meeting. A new curriculum has been chosen and we will discuss the program and the schedule. If you are able to give one Sunday a month to this ministry, you will find it very rewarding and fulfilling. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would still like to teach or be a part of this program, please contact Kelli MacDonald at 760-7040.

Teenagers, grandparents, mothers and fathers could all make our nursery at Saint Alban’s a great place for young children to stay during the 10:15 service. We would like to staff two people each Sunday. If you are looking for a way to serve and be involved, this could be what you are looking for. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex.

SNOW REMOVAL Remember all those days at the beginning of the year when our world was covered with white? Snow plowing costs for the first three months of 2014 were $1,995. That’s $995 above our budget of $1,000 for 2014. There is, of course, the possibility of more snow before the year ends. Special envelopes for snow removal will be in the pew card holders from June 8 to 22. If you are able to provide some extra funds to help us cover this deficit it would be greatly appreciated.

TODAY WE RECOGNIZE OUR GRADUATES

Nevada Jones will graduate from Northrop High School on June 13. She will attend Indiana University in Kokomo, where she will take nursing classes, looking to be a nurse practitioner. Nevada will play basketball for IU.

Andrew Michael will graduate from Carroll High School on June 8. Andrew plans to attend Ball State and major in music education.

Jordan Parker will graduate from East Noble High School on June 15. He plans to attend IPFW and major in engineering.

Jacob Sliger will graduate from Carroll High School on June 8. Jacob will attend Ball State University Honors College and study journalism.

Madison Sliger will graduate from Carroll High School on June 8. She will attend Ivy Tech to study culinary arts, then after two years there, plans to go to IPFW to obtain her bachelor’s degree in culinary arts.

OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS this year were Vicki Irvine, Erin Layden, Natasha Pontius, Janine Steinbrunner and Melissa Townsend. Christian Formation Director is Kelli MacDonald. We thank God for providing these faithful servants to share the good news of salvation with our children.

ASCENSION DAY SERVICE Forty days after Easter our Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, an event which took place before the eyes of His disciples, in order that the truth of His ascension might be historically established for the disciples and the entire Christian church. Plan to join us for the Ascension Day service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME! On Friday, June 13, members of St. Alban’s will gather together at 7:05 to cheer on our TinCaps. It’s a fireworks night, so be sure to invite your friends.
