ANNUAL ALTAR GUILD will meet this Friday at 3:30 to Decorate for Advent.

A THANKSGIVING SERVICE will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25. Please mark your calendar now and join us as we praise God for His numerous blessings to us.

ADVENT BEGINS next Sunday. Advent helps us prepare to receive the promised Christ as He comes, whether at his lowly birth in history, his continual and wonderful coming to us in his Word and Sacrament, or his triumphal coning again. In our worship we move to Year C of the Sunday Lectionary Cycle, which being on page 911 in the Book of Common Prayer.

CALLING ALL CHILDREN! Christmas will be here before we know it and it’s time to start preparing for the annual St. Alban’s Christmas pageant held on Christmas Eve at the 4pm service. If your children are interested in being a part of this wonderful pageant, please plan on joining us for an organizational meeting today immediately following the 10:15 am service. The pageant practices will be as follows: December 6 December 13 December 20 All practices will be held immediately following the 10:15 service and will last approximately 30 minutes. THE GIVING TREE – On November 22 a tree filled with ornaments that have gift requests listed on the back will be located in the narthex. Please be sure to register your gift selection with a Daughter at a table nearby, where the ornament will be exchanged for a gift tag which you will attach to your gift. All gifts should be new and wrapped in Christmas paper.
A basket of labels, from which you may choose food and hygiene items needed by the families, will also be available at the table. You do not have to wrap these items; just place them in the laundry basket with the family number, located by the tree.
All gifts, food and hygiene items are due at the church by Sunday, December 6.
Thank you for your assistance with this project.

CROSSES FOR SALE in the Parish Hall. They would make nice Christmas gifts! All the proceeds go to the Roof Project. The sticker price on each cross is a suggested amount for your donation. CONFIRMATION CLASS TODAY

CHURCH CLEANING IS SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEK. Every other week the cleaning crew works to keep our Lord’s house in good order. Cleaning may be done on your own schedule any time during the week. If you would like to be responsible for cleaning a small area of the church, contact George Shamp.

NEW COFFEE HOUR. This year we will be trying something new for coffee hour after the 10:15 service. Instead of relying on a few individuals many times, we are encouraging everyone to sign up for a few Sundays throughout the year. There is a schedule posted on the board through December. Thus if you can sign up for one Sunday between now and then that would be great. Instructions on what to do for the Sunday you sign up will be provided. If you should have any questions then please talk to Marilyn Rafter or Jane Spice.

MEN’S GROUP TO SERVE VINCENT HOUSE MEAL. The men’s group will serve the Vincent House meal this Thursday evening. If you can help or would like more information please contact Larry Sanxter.

A NEW ROOF OVER OUR HEADS Chris Renner recently made a presentation in church about a new roof over the parish hall building. As we all know we have struggled at times with leaks. We vestry has decided to find a way to repair the roof in such a way that we have no future problems. Thus, in the near future we will have a pledge campaign and replace the roof.
